Google announced the figures of the previous quarter, showing that the number of paid clicks on ads has increased. Revenues from Nexus devices was lower, but sales of the Nexus 6 smart phone would run well.
The results of the first quarter of 2015 are published online by Google. The number of paid clicks on Google ads had a growth of 13 percent in the past three months compared with the same period a year earlier. The amounts advertisers pay-per-click decreased by 7 percent.
In the previous quarter figures Google still said that it’s disappointing financial figures was partly due to a lack of stock on Nexus 6 smartphones. During the discussion of the quarterly figures Google said that these supply problems have been resolved, however revenue from Nexus smartphones was still disappointing. Precise figures were not given. Furthermore, Google announced to earned more with the Play Store, which sells apps, videos and music.
In the last quarter a revenue of $ 17.3 billion was achieved. That is an increase of 17 percent compared with the same period a year earlier. Profit is calculated at $ 4.45 billion, which is 26 percent more compared with a year earlier. Google claims to have suffered from the strong appreciation of the dollar, causing the revenue being lower than expected.
